Clear health information for families
Our Health, Our Voices is a research-informed initiative developed to support informed conversations about maternal health and vaccination. The project was created to better understand the experiences, concerns and information needs of Black African pregnant women and new mothers in England, with the aim of improving communication and reducing inequalities in maternal healthcare.
Our vision
Every woman deserves access to trusted information, respectful conversations and the opportunity to make informed decisions about her health and her baby’s health.
About Our Health, Our Voices
Through interviews and group discussions, women shared what influenced their decisions about maternal vaccination, the challenges they encountered, and the types of information and support they would value most. These insights have informed the development of accessible educational resources to support women, families and healthcare professionals in having respectful, evidence-based conversations.
